Tournament prospectus

Summer Metrics 2024, to be held on 13th July 2024.

Event Format

WA 1440 and AGB Metric rounds to be shot in accordance with World Archery Rules of Shooting. Arrows will be shot in ends of 6 arrows in 4 minutes at longer distances, and 3 arrows in 2 minutes at shorter distances. There will be four archers per target. Full size 80cm faces will be used at shorter distances for all rounds.

This is a Tier 3 ranking event, and eligible for MB scores.

Awards

Awards will be made for all categories where archers are shooting the full distance for their age and gender. Archers shooting longer distances will be included in an older age group. Archers shooting shorter distances will not be awarded, but are welcome to enter. Awards for all age categories are subject to entries.

Dress code is according to the AGB Rules of Shooting

Drug testing

Archers competing at record status tournaments may be liable to drug testing. Competitors who are approached to give samples must comply. Non-compliance will be treated as a positive result. Parents/Guardians must check the relevant box on the entry form giving consent for junior archers (under 18s) to be drug tested if approached.

Important information

Timing

Registration opens 8am. ArcheryGB cards or e-cards will be required.

Assembly at 8.45am followed by 3 ends of practice and the round. There will be short breaks between distances while the field is reset, and a longer break for lunch.

Venue

The tournament will take place at our outdoor venue at Wallingford Sports Park, Wallingford OX10 9RB. The shooting field is the northern field, please follow the track past the buildings to the car park, and follow directions from parking attendants.

Refreshments

Full catering will be available at lunch.

Entry is open to all ArcheryGB members and members of other World Archery Affiliated bodies, excluding those from Russia and Belarus in line with World Archery sanctions.
